Desktop Application

To access the UPVTC Virtual Learning Environment site on your desktop or Surface tablets:

1.  Open a web browser (e.g. Chrome, Mozilla Firefox) and go to the Moodle downloads page:  https://download.moodle.org/desktop/

2.  To download the Moodle desktop installer, scroll down and click the appropriate download link.
Moodle Desktop is now available for: 

      • Windows for desktop: Windows 7 and later (AMR not supported)
      • Windows for tablets: Windows 10 with “Windows Anniversary Update”
      • macOS: Minimum macOS version supported is macOS 10.9
      • Linux: Ubuntu 12.04, Fedora 21 and Debian 8 and later

3.  After downloading the installer, follow these steps to extract the files to your computer:

    • Locate the .zip file and double click it to extract the files.
    • A list of the .zip file contents displays in a window. Click Extract all.
    • A new window displays with a suggested path to extract the files. You can choose to keep this path or browse to another directory to extract the files. Make sure to remember where you extracted the files.

4.  To start the installation, double click the installer file. Click Yes if you see a User Account Control prompt.

5.  Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

6.  After the installation is complete, launch the Moodle Desktop application. The Moodle Desktop app will appear as shown below.

7.  Type the URL: https://vle.tac.upv.edu.ph/ in the site address bar and click Connect! button. The Login page will appear as shown below.

8.  Log in using your user credentials or using your UP Mail account.
