UP Tacloban Ugnayan ng Pahinungod Fund Drive Update #6: Construction materials delivered to three Southern Leyte towns

On 15 February 2022 UP Tacloban’s volunteer service corps Ugnayan ng Pahinungod distributed construction materials to households in need in three Southern Leyte municipalities devastated by typhoon Odette. The assistance was made possible by generous donations from Remote Areas Medical (RAM) Philippines and Leyteños-Samareños in Japan.
A total of 31 households in the municipalities of Anahawan, San Francisco, and San Ricardo received corrugated G.I. sheets, marine plywood, common and umbrella nails, and sealants. In Anahawan 20 households in two barangays (Población and San Vicente) were given 126 G.I. sheets. In San Francisco six households received 60 pieces of G.I. sheets, 24 pieces of marine plywood, 18 kgs of nails, and 6 cans of sealants. Another six families in San Ricardo received 49 pieces of G.I. sheets, 17 pieces of marine plywood, and a total of 8kgs of nails and 5 cans of sealants. The recipients were identified by the community.
We thank our generous donors for continuing to extend a helping hand to Southern Leyte communities ravaged by typhoon Odette.
